4 Step Process
Step 1 – Initial Enquiry
So you have decided that you would like us to take a look at your proposed new kitchen. What to do next? There are two ways in which we can start the process. If you live within an area where we can arrange a home visit & consultation (within 20 miles of our workshops at HD8 9DZ), then just give us a call to make an appointment. On this visit, we discuss what requirements you have for your new kitchen and come up with a rough idea of the layout. This can take around 1 – 2 hours. If you have a good idea of what you want before the appointment, this obviously speeds things along, but we will advise where necessary to help come up with a practical and well planned layout. Alternatively, you can email us details of your requirements, including your room layout with sizes and pictures of your room. We will then contact you by email or telephone to discuss further and come up with a plan.
Step 2 – Estimate
After the initial discussion, we calculate an estimate. Because we manufacture our units to fit the room rather than trying to fit standard units within a space, the choice of possible layouts is endless. The way that we work out the price of your kitchen is based on the area that we are covering rather than individual unit cost. By doing it this way, the estimated price for the kitchen doesn’t really alter that much when making slight alterations to the plan at the design stage. Once you receive the estimate, and if it falls within your budget, we then move onto looking at designing your new kitchen in detail.
Step 3 – Design
Once the estimate has been approved, we can move onto the exciting part of the project, planning the design of your new kitchen. We use the latest in AutoCad kitchen design software to give you a real feel for what your new kitchen will look like. You will receive your 3D designs via email for you to have a good look at, and at this stage, make alterations where necessary to come up with a final plan that you are happy with.
Step 4 – Manufacture & Installation
After all the planning that has gone into the project up to this point, the next step is to agree a schedule for the production and installation of your kitchen. Time scales do vary depending on our work load and when you would like the project to be done, but we always try our best to accommodate you. We do offer a complete project management service where we organise every aspect of the job from start to finish. This includes all building, plumbing and electrical work, or if you prefer, we can supply the kitchens on a supply only basis.
Payment Schedule
Replacing your kitchen is one of the largest investments that you will make to your home, so when setting out on your project it’s always nice to have an idea of when the payment will be required. We break this down into 3 different stages:
- 1st Payment – This is made when you have agreed that the initial estimate is within budget and you would like to proceed further with the 3D plans. A typical cost for this is usually around £300.00. This cost is deducted from you final Invoice at the end of the project and is included in the overall price.
- 2nd Payment – This becomes due when all the plans have been agreed and we come to do the final measure just prior to us beginning production of your units. This is usually 50% of the overall remaining cost. This is classed as your main deposit.
- 3rd (and final) Payment – This is due upon completion of your new Kitchen.
